The Primary Election will take place on August 28 and there are lots of ways to make sure your vote is counted. There will be federal, state and local candidates on the ballot.
If you are on the Permanent Early Voter List (PEVL), your ballot will be mailed on August 1st. If you receive a ballot in the mail, it will say official ballot on the top and include an envelope that you have to sign for signature verification when you mail it back to the respective county. If you are a Maricopa County resident and you want to drop off your ballot instead of mailing it, there will be a drop box at Town Hall and at the Community center and if you are a Yavapai County resident your closest drop off box is at the Skull Valley Post Office.
If you want to receive an early ballot in the mail, you need to request that with the County Recorder’s Office by August 17.
If you want to vote early, Maricopa County residents can vote at the Community Center August 20 - 24 from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.
Polls will be open on August 28th from 6:00 am until 7:00 pm. If you live in Maricopa County, you can vote at the Wickenburg Community Center. If you live in Yavapai County, you can vote at Grace Bible Chapel in Congress.
The Town of Wickenburg will have eight candidates for three Town Council seats. The candidates are Chris Band, Kristy Bedoian, Jeff Brown, Cory Dufault, Julie Macias, Rui Pereira, Nohl Rosen and David Stander.
