  1. Trail Series - Hike #3 Vulture Peak

    December 17, 2016, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Meet at Town Hall and follow the leader in your vehicle to the Trailhead

    Explore Wickenburg's iconic Vulture Peak. Spend some time with Parks and Recreation to discover the beautiful scenery. Approximately 4-5 miles round trip; hiking guide will be Trever Macias from Wickenburg Parks and Recreation. Trail Rating is Moderate. All ages, however, all participants must be of stable body to walk on their own, uphill and downhill on gravel. Water and snacks will be provided during the hike.   2. Open Rehearsals for "Bill T Jones / Arnie Zane Dance Company"

    Bill T. Jones / Arnie Zane Dance Company will be in residence November 29 – December 12, 2016. While in Wickenburg Mr. Jones will begin to choreograph the third evening-length installment of Analogy: A Trilogy. The new piece, Analogy/Ambros: The Emigrant, will explore how an experience of trauma can go underground in an individual’s psyche and direct consciously and unconsciously the course of that individual’s life. The company will return to New York to further develop the piece which is scheduled to premiere at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in 2017. The company will offer FREE Open Rehearsals on December 1 & 8 from 2 pm – 4:30 pm; allowing the general public an intimate look at their creative process and to see this new work come to life. The Open Rehearsals will take place in a dance studio located at the Wickenburg Ranch cArt Barn (3312 Maverick Drive, Wickenburg, AZ). Once you enter the Wickenburg Ranch community follow the "Webb Center event" signs to the dance studio.

    December 9, 2016, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM @ From Wickenburg Christian Academy, down Yavapai Street, turn on Frontier Street in front of Chamber of Commerce then around to end at Little Red Schoolhouse

    Visitors and residents will gather to watch the illuminated entries and have the opportunity to visit with Santa Claus after the parade at the awards ceremonies in front of the "Garcia Little Red Schoolhouse", next to Bashas' Frontier Shopping Center. The parade will start at 6:30 p.m. on Yavapai Street in front of the Wickenburg Christian School, traveling to historic Frontier Street near the Chamber of Commerce Office and continuing down Frontier near the Desert Caballeros Western Museum, ending at Tegner and Yavapai Street at WCO's " Little Red Schoolhouse"

    Santa Claus arrives aboard a Wickenburg Fire Truck and meets with children until noon. SkillsUSA-Photography will provide pictures of the children and their families with Santa. The DECA Club will provide the goody bags given out by Santa and the ornaments to be made and taken home. SkillsUSA-Culinary will handle the gingerbread person decorating and SkillsUSA-Engineering will help the children assemble their own wooden frame for the pictures taken at the event.
