  1. Hassayampa River Walk
      Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Hassayampa River Walk
    Join us for the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Hassayampa River Walk (Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge) on Friday, May 1st at 9:00 a.m. at Wishing Well Park.  We will also be dedicating the new Youth Commission Flower Garden "Planted from Our Roots - Blooming into our Future." 

    The Out Wickenburg Way Street Dance will take place on May 2nd from 6:00 -10:00 p.m. in the same area. 

    Parking is available at the Community Center for both events.

  2. Bed Tax
    The Town Council of Wickenburg, Arizona will consider adopting a resolution on June 1, 2015 to amend Chapter 9A Tax Code, Article IV Privilege Taxes, Section 9A-447, increasing the Transient Lodging Tax by 1%, changing it from 2% to 3% with the new rate taking effect on July 1, 2015.

    “Transient” is defined as a person who obtains lodging space on a daily or weekly basis regardless of the total period of time, or on any other basis for less than 30 consecutive days.  This classification applies to hotels, motels, inns, homes, dude ranches, resorts, campgrounds, apartments, mobile home properties, or any other space occupied, intended, or designed for occupancy by transients.

  3. Truth in Taxation Hearing Notice
    As part of its FY 2015-16 Budget process the Town is considering an increase in the primary property tax amount.

    "In compliance with Section 42-17107 of Arizona Revised Statutes, the Town of Wickenburg is notifying its property taxpayers of the Town of Wickenburg’s intention to raise its primary property taxes over last year's level. The Town of Wickenburg is proposing an increase in primary property taxes of $12,485 or 4.0%.  The proposed tax increase will cause the Town of Wickenburg primary property taxes on a $100,000 home to increase from $51.12 to $52.70.  This proposed increase is exclusive of increased primary property taxes received from new construction. The increase is also exclusive of any changes that may occur from property tax levies for voter approved bonded indebtedness or budget and tax overrides.  All interested citizens are invited to attend the public hearing on the tax increase that is scheduled to be held on Monday, June 01, 2015, at 5:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Council Chambers at 155 N Tegner St., Wickenburg, Arizona."


  4. Intent to Increase Water and Wastewater Rates
    Notice is hereby given that there will be a public hearing at a regular meeting of the Common Council of the Town of Wickenburg, to be held in the Wickenburg Town Hall Council Chambers located at 155 North Tegner Street on Monday, June 5, 2015 at 5:30 PM for an increase in Water and Wastewater Rates.  Please see the link for the details on the increase.
